ReinLIS wash vials

The “ReinLIS” wash vials and waste vials with diffusion caps are ideal for chromatography and provide an efficient cleaning solution for autosampler syringes. Wash vials are special screw vials with a funnel in the screw cap called a diffusion insert, which prevents the solvent from evaporating and guides the syringe. Compared to conventional inserts, the diffusion inserts of the “ReinLIS” are firmly snapped into the screw cap to prevent loss.

For autosamplers taking and injecting samples from the autosampler bottles, it is important to rinse the syringe after each injection to avoid contamination from one sample to the next. To facilitate these cleaning steps, we offer special wash vials.
Our wash vials are screw vials that are filled with solvent and have a diffusion insert in the screw cap instead of a septum. This insert has several functions: It prevents the vial from being open and the solvent from evaporating quickly, and it guides the syringe needle. Unlike conventional diffusion inserts, our ReinLIS inserts are firmly snapped into the screw cap so that they cannot be lost when the vials are opened.
We offer two types of wash bottles: 4 ml with dimensions 12 x 45 mm and 10 ml for CTC/PAL. The vials are equipped with a diffusion insert that locks securely into the cap opening. In addition, the vials are marked on the outside with a minimum and maximum fill level. Using our ReinLIS wash vials gives you the advantage of precise dosing and optimal use of the solvent. The greater height compared to conventional sample vials allows you to mark the vial with a minimum fill level. This ensures that the syringe penetrates the sample vial and the ReinLIS wash vials to the same depth. There is also a maximum fill level to prevent the syringe from being immersed in dirty solvent.
Our wash vials are offered as practical kits. The 4 ml ReinLIS kit contains 4×20 solvent bottles with blue, yellow, green and red diffusion caps and 2×10 waste bottles with white and black diffusion caps. The 10 ml ReinLIS kit offers the same composition.

The “ReinLIS” wash vials are specially designed for autosamplers to rinse the syringe after each injection and avoid contamination between samples. Compared to normal sample vials, the “ReinLIS” wash vials are 45 mm higher than the usual 32 mm. For this reason, the “ReinLIS” wash vials are marked with a minimum fill level to ensure that the syringe penetrates the same depth for both the sample vial and the “ReinLIS” wash vials. This avoids that a large part of the solvent remains unused. On the spent solvent side, there is also a maximum fill level to prevent the syringe from dipping into the contaminated solvent.
The usable volume of a “ReinLIS” wash vial is 2 ml. With a triple rinse of 10 μl each, a syringe with a “ReinLIS” wash vial can be rinsed for about 65 injections. Although the “ReinLIS” wash vials are always filled with clean solvent only, the syringe can still contaminate the vial and diffusion insert. For this reason, we recommend changing the “ReinLIS” regularly, at the latest after 100 injections.
The “ReinLIS” wash vials and waste vials are offered as a practical kit with a total of 100 pieces. The screw caps of the “ReinLIS” wash vials are available in the colours yellow, red, green and blue, while the screw caps of the waste vials are available in the colours white and black.
