Short thread bottles made of polypropylene

Short-thread bottles made of high-quality polypropylene (PP) are the unbreakable and chemically resistant alternative to the classic glass bottle. They are ideal for all common autosamplers, preferably for systems from Agilent, HTA, Shimadzu, Thermo Scientific, Varian and Waters®.

Precision and flexibility The vials have the standard dimensions of 12×32 mm. While the filling volume is often specified as up to 2 ml, the dimensions and capacities are not rigidly standardized. Depending on the manufacturer and internal geometry (e.g. vials with integrated micro-insert for the smallest sample volumes), the volume can vary between 1.5 ml, 1.8 ml or special microliter variants.

The advantages of polypropylene (PP) In contrast to glass bottles, PP vials offer decisive advantages for specialized analyses:

  • PFAS-free & plasticizer-free: Ideal for trace analysis as there is no contamination from fluorine compounds or glass adsorption (e.g. proteins or metals).

  • Chemical resistance: Particularly suitable for aqueous samples and for applications where interaction with glass surfaces must be avoided.

  • Breakage resistance: The robust material minimizes the risk of sample loss due to glass breakage in everyday laboratory use or during transport.

We offer customized vial and cap kits on request. Pre-rinsed vials or versions with a specific purity certificate are also available for particularly sensitive applications.
