It is cylindrically shaped and can be moulded to any glass bottle, even retrofitted, and by machine using the patented process of GTG Glastechnik Gr\u00e4fenroda.<\/p><p>Automated systems for taking samples usually dip into the vial with a cannula. The inlet of the cannula can be either lateral or at the bottom, and the head of the cannula can also vary. During automatic withdrawal, the cannula is always immersed to the same depth in the vial. cylinder.<\/p><p>The dead volume for the cylindrical version type GTG is only:<br>VZyl = \u03c0 * r2 * h<\/p><p><strong>The following example for the dead volume up to the needle entry opening<\/strong><br>r = 1.5 mm, h = 1.5 mm and a = 45\u00b0 -&gt; tan(a) = 1<br>VKS= 21.2 \u03bcl<br>VZyl = 10.6 \u03bcl<\/p><p>This means that the dead volume of the tapered version is larger by the proportion \u03c0 * h\/3 (h2 * tan2 (a) + 2rh * tan(a)).<br>At an angle a greater than 45\u00b0, the tan(a) &gt; becomes 1 and grows all the more significantly.<\/p><p>The same result applies if the overlap of the needle opening with the sample is required.<br>The height h = height h (needle above floor) + \u00fc (overlap of sample) then applies.<\/p><p>As an example, the following applies for
